Author Guidelines

Focus Journal Law Review (FJL) is a anonymous peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of quality research results in the field of law. All publications in Focus Journal Law Review (FJL) are open access which allows articles to be freely available online without any subscription. Average number of weeks between article submission & publication is 24 weeks. We provide this guidelines to ensure the quality of every article.

Article Writing

Manuscript Form

Manuscripts received are manuscripts that have never been published before. The manuscript is written in English. Manuscripts can be in the form of the results of research (research paper) or a review text (thoughts/conceptual) in the field of legal science. In the script, the writing of foreign language terms is italicized.

Submission Procedure

The author sends the manuscript through https://ojs.balidwipa.ac.id/index.php/fjl/about/submissions  the author can create an account as an author and enter articles online. Authors who have difficulty when sending the manuscript can contact us at contact. The author who has sent the manuscript will receive a receipt for receipt of the manuscript. Note: Manuscripts received will not automatically be published, because they will go through a review process from the editorial board.

Paper Format

The sequence of manuscript following: Title (Author Name, Affiliation, Email); Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Problem Formulation and Research Method; Analysis and Discussion; Conclusion; Recommendation; and Reference.

  • Title

Title of articles is written preferably not more than 14 words. It also includes Authors name, affiliations and email.

  • Abstract

The abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. This abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, objective of the paper, followed by a statement regarding the methodology and a brief summary of results betweenn 150 - 250 words.

  • Keywords

Keywords arranged by alphabetically and should have at least two keywords and maximum of five keywords separated by a semicolon (;).

  • Introduction

The introduction should be clear and provide the issue to be discussed in the manuscript. At the end of the paragraph, the author/s should end with a comment on the significance concerning identification of the issue and the objective of the research.

  • Problem Formulation & Method Research

Formulation of the problem, the author must clearly state the formulation of the problem to be studied and the research method used in the research on the author's article.

  • Analysis and Discussion

This part contain the analysis and discussion the research in the author's article. Analysis and discussion include a description of the results of research on the problems that are the focus of research or the results of studies with a conceptual approach.

  • Conclusion

Contains the conclusions of the answers to the formulation of the problem so that the writing is adjusted to the order of the research problems. Conclusions should follow the formulation of the problems raised, if 2 (two) problem formulations, then 2 (two) conclusions should be sufficient.

  • Recommendation

After the conclusion, the author may provide suggestions (recommendations) on the results of the study.

  • Reference

References should be written alphabetically and chronologically. The references is not bibliography, therefore, it must contain all sources referenced in the scripts.

  • Figure

Figure artwork (digital photograph, chromatogram, scheme) should be clear with minimum resolution of 300 dpi. Artwork or scheme prepared using Ms Word, Ms Excel or Ms Powerpoint should be saved as tiff or JPG to avoid miss layout. Please put the figures inside the manuscript according to the related text, do not place the figures separately in the last of the manuscript.

  • Figure Caption

Ensure each figure has a caption, place below the figure, center alignment, sentence case and avoid to use the uncommon abbreviation. Use the bold font of the figure caption (e.g Figure 1).

  • Table

Use horizontal border on the table header and last line, without vertical border. Place the table caption above the table. Footnote (if necessary) should be place below the table, with smaller font size of the table font.
